Technologies

UV Protection
All Maloja UV protection labelled items offer a UV protection factor of 40 and above. This rating means that only 1/40 of harmful UV-A and UV-B radiation can pass through the fabric, meaning 97.5% of radiation is filtered out. All items are tested to the Australian/New Zealand standard (AS/NZS 4399:1996). This effect is not achieved by a chemical finish but exclusively by the use of special yarns or special construction of the material, e.g. a very dense knit.

The material is transversely and longitudinally elastic and offers the highest possible freedom of movement.
